2012 Toyota Avalon
New for this year, the Avalon comes in two different models - the Avalon XL and the Avalon XLS with elegant design and impressive comfort, something you'll experience firsthand when you slide into the available perforated leather-trimmed seats and feel the rush of the powerful engine.
The "2012 Toyota Avalon" is a full-size 4-door sedan that seats 6 passengers. All Avalon models are equipped with a six speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy ratings of the Toyota Avalon model are 19 miles per gallon on city streets and 28 miles per gallon highway. The Avalon Touring model is equipped with 17 inch tires, xenon HID headlights, and black cowhide seats. The Avalon XLS model is equipped with seats made of lighter color hide and wood grain interior trim. The 2012 Avalon is equipped with anti-lock disc brakes, airbags on the side for front passengers, and curtain airbags on the side for front and rear passengers.
The 2012 Toyota Avalon will carry over virtually unchanged major revisions given the 2011 Toyota Avalon.--Should you wait for the 2012 Toyota Avalon or buy a 2011 Toyota Avalon? The 2012 Avalon won’t be substantively changed, and the 2011 Avalon benefits from the liberal factory incentives helping Toyota win back buyers after the safety-recall controversy.
The 2012 Avalon will be a mirror image of the "2011 Avalon", which means a careful evolution of the 2005-2010 generation design. Avalon’s wheelbase, however, is among the shortest in the class. The 2012 Avalon lineup will return with two models, the nicely equipped base Avalon and the top-line Limited. Toyota’s Star Safety System will again be standard on every 2012 Avalon. Both 2012 Avalon models will continue with 17-inch alloy wheels and a full-size spare tire.
The 2012 Avalon also leans toward luxury with standard leather upholstery, a power tilt/slide moonroof, and steering-wheel audio and phone controls.
