2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible. Redesigned inside and out

Leaks aren’t typically a good thing when it comes to convertibles, but it appears the unofficial release of 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible press photos last week may have helped push the automaker to unleash additional information on its new midsize convertible.

Although the vinyl soft top option is no more, the 2011 200 Convertible will still be offered with either a power-folding cloth soft top, or a retractable folding steel hard top.

Chrysler notes its engineers have retuned the 200 Convertible’s suspension to deliver an improved ride quality, while simultaneously blessing the car with a number of powertrain upgrades. Expect finalized pricing for the "2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible" to be released shortly before the car reaches dealerships later this year

Chrysler Group LLC unveiled photos Monday of the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible. Redesigned inside and out, the 200 Convertible replaces the lackluster midsize Sebring Convertible. Chrysler upgraded and retuned the car's suspension.

Consumers on the prowl for a comfortable midsize convertible may want to wait and see what Chrysler unveils in the coming months, as pictures of a Convertible Chrysler 200 leaked out on the web yesterday. “The current Sebring convertible comes standard with a 2.4L four-cylinder, and we expect that engine to carryover,” says Left Lane News. The automotive press expects pricing to be in line with that of the outgoing Chrysler Sebring convertible that the 200 replaced.
